Robin Van Persie, Nani and co. had to rushed from the field as the Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce was abandoned after fans rushed the field to attack officials.
The hosts, Trabzonspor were trailing 4-0 to Van Persie’s title-chasing Fenerbache when a fan rushed from the stands and knocked the official, Volkan Bayarslan, to the ground before attempting to assault the fifth official.
Istanbul side Fenerbahce are second in the Turkish Super Lig. They have since been awarded the 4-0 victory they were on course to seal, goals from former Manchester United stars Nani and Robin van Persie.
The incident took place in the 89th minute, leaving the match officials understandably shaken:

Riot Police had to be called to restore order inside the stadium as scenes erupted into chaos.
Referee Bulent Yildrim ordered both teams to return to their dressing rooms, before later abandoning the match.
In a post-match statement, the Turkish Football Federation confirmed that:
“In the match between Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor in week 30 of the Spor Toto Super Lig, in the 89th minute assistant referee Volkan Bayarslan was assaulted.
The on-field action was suspended by referee Bulent Yildirim.”
The relationship between the two sides has significantly deteriorated in recent seasons, following a controversial end to 2010/11 league campaign.
Fenerbahce were initially crowned as Turkish champions, but were later embroiled in a scandal of match-fixing allegations, leading Trabzonspor supporters to state claim that they were the true champions.
A clash between the pair was infamously abandoned in 2014 after just 45 minutes of play due to unruly fans, Fenerbahce were declared 3-0 winners of the fixture.
