John Terry’s farewell from Chelsea hasn’t been one fitting of a player who has won four Premier League titles, five FA Cups and owns a Champions League winner’s medal. However, it is fitting of a man who has been charged for racism, slept with a friend’s ex-girlfriend and just been an all around arsehole.

The former England captain was sent-off against Sunderland – a game in which Chelsea lost 3-2 – meaning that he will miss the Blues’ final two games of a disastrous season.

As a man, John Terry wouldn’t look out of place on the cast of ‘Shameless’. However, as a footballer, there’s no denying his consistently high qualities. Following the defender’s exit from Stamford Bridge, some of the world’s highest profile names have been speaking highly of the defender.

“I like to think my policies are representative of John Terry.”

Donald Trump

“The way JT was universally hated despite being a King amongst men is something I can sympathise with.”

Vladimir Putin

“I’d stick a halal sausage up John Terry’s bum any day of the week.”

Katie Hopkins

“We are proud to call John Terry a North Korean international. He has been instrumental in our 14 consecutive – and counting – World Cup wins.”

Kim Jong-un

“Terry knows that I’ll always find room for him in my Dementor XI”

Voldemort

“It’s a shame John isn’t my brother, because if he were, I would’ve been all over that”

Cersei Lannister
