Cristiano Ronaldo ‘Agrees PSG Transfer’ – But On One Condition

Ligue 1 champions PSG have been desperate to bring in a big name signing to bolster their hopes of Champions League success. After learning that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not look to renew his contract at the Parc des Princes for next season’s campaign, PSG have been eager to make Madrid’s superstar the centrepiece and focal point of their new project.

It now seems they might finally have their man. Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes is understood to have reached a verbal agreement with Paris Saint-Germain representatives.

According to French media outlet Le Parisien, Jorge Mendes and PSG President Nasser El-Khelaifi have reached a verbal arrangement that will see the French club become the priority destination for Ronaldo – but on one condition:

Before PSG can put any pens to paper, Real Madrid must first agree to sell the Portuguese forward.

The major issue for the French giants is that Ronaldo is by no means certain to leave the Santiago Bernabeu, regardless of whether a verbal agreement has been reached between the two parties. Madrid and Ronaldo are currently engaged in a contract renewal negotiation, with the current deal set to expire in 2018.

It was reported last month that Ronaldo had flown out to Paris to initiate talks with the Ligue 1 club, during which period there were numerous meetings between the two parties, suggesting Ronaldo was already preparing for life away from Madrid.

With Real Madrid in the Champions League final and still chasing down the La Liga title, Ronaldo’s representatives are understandably refusing to respond to any questions raised over his future at the club – not wishing to generate any hysteria ahead of the derby final in Milan.

It’s in line with Jorge Mendes’ character to try and seal another big money move for his most valuable client, before Ronaldo begins to dip towards the later stages of his career.

One last big European move this summer would spell out a final glorious payday for the agent and having now promised Ronaldo to PSG, Mendes’ next task will be convincing Los Blancos to sell their star man.

Will Ronaldo Leave Real Madrid At The End Of The Season?

Yes – It’s time for him to move on, Paris awaits!

No – Didn’t he just say a few weeks ago he wanted to retire at Madrid…
