Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho proved exactly why Paris Saint-Germain reportedly bid £23million for him earlier in the week.
Last night, the little magician banged in a hat-trick for Brazil against Haiti in the Copa America – with the first and third goals being particularly special – in a 7-1 rout for the Samba stars.

Sure, Haiti hardly represent too much of a challenge for Coutinho & co, however, just the other night Spain lost to Georgia 1-0, a team that are ranked 137th in the world. So there’s no need to take anything away from the Liverpool attacking-midfielder.
The second goal aside, it does seem like the 23-year-old only deals in world class strikes, with the former Inter Milan youngster building up quite the portfolio of ‘beauties’:
Coutinho is, arguably now, Liverpool’s most important asset, and he’s certainly very much a Jurgen Klopp type of player; creative, hard-working and somebody the German manager can develop.
It’s important the Reds hang on to the former Espanyol loanee, but another season outside the Champions League places will probably make that borderline impossible – there’s only so many times a player can turn down the advances from the likes of PSG.
