Pro golfers on the European Tour experienced the challenges of a true links course during the opening round of the Scottish Open.
The biggest challenge being the crazy wind that took over the field, working against the players.
I hit back to back 3 woods today 345 yards and 190 yards, same swing! Now that’s wind! ?? #lovelinks

Great day but still a looong way to go. It’s very windy which make everything tougher…. @AAMScottishOpen

The wind affected every aspect of the game, but you could clearly see it making the greens nearly impossible to control.

Despite the wind though, players were able to perform and made some unbelievable shots. Which shows just how good these guys really are.

Shane Lowry didn’t trust the wind so instead of putting on the green he decided to chip on it. It payed off but I wouldn’t try that at your home course if I were you.
⛔ Do not try this at home ⛔ https://t.co/jiwxs2U98o
