Some will say it’s the winner’s mentality in Cristiano Ronaldo, others will say it’s because he’s an egotistical prick who is a sore, sore loser.
Whatever your opinion on the Real Madrid forward, there’s no denying he makes for great entertainment. And whilst away with Portugal at Euro 2016, CR7 has been no different.
First we had the post-match comments on Iceland after they had held CR7 & co to a famous draw…
“I thought they’d won the Euros the way they celebrated at the end, it was unbelievable.
“When they don’t try to play and just defend, defend, defend this in my opinion shows a small mentality and are not going to do anything in the competition.”
And now we’ve got the former Manchester United icon throwing a reporter’s microphone into the water after reportedly being asked about Lionel Messi’s gorgeous free-kick at the Copa America.

Before you read on, go back at watch that Messi free-kick again. Honestly, just go back and appreciate it. There’s ‘top bins’ and then there’s ‘top bins’! Top bins = “UPPER 90” for all you Americans reading.
Sure, CR7 shouldn’t react as he does, but, come on, we can’t really expect to place our superstars under such intense scrutiny and pressure, like ants under a magnifying glass, and then take umbrage when they finally crack.
To be honest, I wouldn’t have batted an eyelid if Ronaldo had lamped the guy.
