James Rodriguez could be on the move from Real Madrid to Manchester United.
Real Madrid have announced they are willing to sell the 24-year-old Colombian to Manchester United for the low, low price of $68 million.
Rodriguez played himself into a Real Madrid uniform during the 2014 World Cup, where he was undoubtedly the tournament’s breakout star.
Thing is, James never really found his stride at Real Madrid. He was a star at AS Monaco, but you gotta remember, the Bernabéu holds like three times more people than the entire city-state of Monaco…
Rodriguez never got out of the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Xabi Alonso, Luka Modric, and Tony Kroos. But that’s because they block out the sun like Mr. Burns.
It’s hard to get shine when you’re surrounded by stars.
He’s a big fish little pond kinda guy.
I can totally understand why he wants to leave – I mean, the guy didn’t play at all in the Champions League final. He sat on the bench like a third string keeper.
World Cup hero to benchwarmer is probably a tough pill to swallow. And a player of his quality shouldn’t be sitting on the bench.
James Rodriguez has the capacity to be one of the most exciting players in the Premier League.
He’s gotta toughen up a little and stop crying all the time, but the talent is definitely there. If he goes to Manchester United, it will be good for all parties involved.
