We all have the Ryder Cup on our brains, and that includes Olympic golfer Matt Kuchar.
He will be teeing off in Rio in eight days and he just found out the format wasn’t like the USA vs. Europe play he’s used to.
This is amazing: Just asked Matt Kuchar about Olympics. He thought it was team format. Didn’t know individual stroke play. And he’s playing.

“Now, I may be miss-informed or just don’t know. You may have to help me. Is there no team format at all?” Kuchar asked.
He thought it was team format, not individual. Thankfully, the media told him what is was because he would have showed up to Rio very confused. At least now he can prepare like he would any other tournament.

Rickie Fowler will be the only one of the Americans making an appearance at the Opening Ceremonies this Friday. The others are playing in the Travelers Championship this weekend, including Kuchar.
