Everton have rejected Manchester City’s first official bid for England International, John Stones. The offer comes less than 24 hours after Pep Guardiola confirmed his interest in bringing the defender to the Etihad Stadium.
“Everyone knows we are going to try.
“We will see what happens.”
Gossip column inches have been dominated with a possible £50 million move for Stones. However, it has been revealed that Raheem Sterling has been offered as well.
“Yes, it’s true. We’ve had communication with Man City over John Stones.
“The Citizens offered us £50million plus Raheem Sterling. However, Everton Football Club won’t be taken lightly in the transfer market, and that is why we are holding out for just the £50million.”

When questioned over the rejection of City’s player-plus-cash offer, Ronald Koeman was more than willing to discuss.
“If I hadn’t watched the Euros, this summer, then I would’ve happily taken Raheem. But the truth is, he looked like an over the limit, one-legged pigeon out in France.
“One thing I would like to say to City, seeing as they’re trying to offload players who can’t cross, beat a man, find the back of the net or keep possession, don’t for a second try and offer us Jesus Navas, Pep.”
John Stones is rumoured to have told Everton that he is desperate to join the Pep Guardiola revolution. After friends Scott Sinclair and Jack Rodwell told him about the great holiday entitlement you receive at City, the pair are believed to have said, “You barely have to kick a ball to get paid.”
