Sir Alex Ferguson tried to hijack Paul Pogba’s Manchester-bound plane

Following Sky Sports News’ exclusive that they read on Twitter, Paul Pogba has arrived at Manchester United’s training ground in Carrington to undergo his month-long medical, much to the annoyance and frustrations of former Red Devils gaffer Sir Alex Ferguson.

Pogba’s departure from United was acrimonious, at best, with the soon-to-be Manchester United player’s mother revealing that:

“I said: ‘What? Ferguson coming to my house! He came alone. We had got together with his brothers and we decided: he won’t re-sign. Ferguson punished him, he didn’t play him, Paul was alone. He even cried in Ferguson’s office over the way he was treated.”

For all of Fergie’s successes at Old Trafford, the letting of Pogba slip through the net remains a fairly big and permanent black mark on the Scot’s track record, one that hurts him. Therefore, it is no surprise that the retired United legend apparently tried to divert Pogba’s plane from Manchester in order to save face.

It is believed that Fergie wanted to take control of Pogba’s flight from Turin and land the plane outside the Bernabeu. It was a last bid attempt to not look like a complete muppet when United have to buy back their former player for a world-record fee.

Sir Alex was foiled by airport security, as staff recognised the Scot despite the fact Fergie was donning a Marouane Fellaini wig and a Zlatan Ibrahimovic nose.

When asked for comment, Fergie had this to say:

“The year Paul left us, we had quality all over the squad; the likes of Buttner, Tunnicliffe, Robbie Brady, Darron Gibson and Bebe. What was I supposed to do? Not play them? And call up an unproven talent like Pogba? Exactly. I would’ve been ridiculed.”
