Liverpool legend can’t resist parting shot at Mario Balotelli on Twitter

Mario Balotelli, the man nobody no longer wants to touch, the journeyman ahead of his time; the constant disappointment. Still, the Italian managed to navigate a route out of Liverpool – much to all of the Reds satisfaction – yet, Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, couldn’t resist a cheeky parting shot.

The Sky pundit certainly did not hold back in expressing his opinion about the striker, who has been a complete flop in the Premier League. Having cost Liverpool £16 million from AC Milan, and in return, only scoring one goal, goes a long wayt in explaining Carragher’s anger.

The ex-centre-back is no stranger to being a critique of Balotelli, as in March the Sky pundit stated how the ex-Milan player was the worst signing Liverpool have ever made…

“I’m praying with all the money in the Chinese Super League that someone is going to buy him after his loan. I don’t think anyone in the Premier League will take him. He has to be No. 1 with Aquilani and Diouf.”

Poor, El Hadji Diouf, at least the the Senegal striker managed to triple Balotelli’s strike-rate.

One thing is for sure, although Mario failed to deliver out on the grass, his antics will definitely be missed off the pitch, around the Queen’s great country… from fireworks to dressing up as Father Christmas and housing homeless people.

We’ll even miss the Italian’s dress-sense, which he wisely decided to take with him to France for his contract negotiations…

Do not worry, though, Mario. You are not alone in pundits trolling current players. Match Of The Day presenter, Gary ‘I-don’t-know-what-pants-are’ Lineker, seemed to mock David Luiz over the Brazilian’s u-turn back to Stamford Bridge:

Even though Side Show Bob scored a 2/10 on his last game for PSG, and gave away a penalty, it was probably just Gary defending those ‘Leicester’ ties…

However, Peter Crouch stole the show on Deadline Day over Twitter. Why? Because rather than taking it out on other professionals, in usual Big Pete style, Crouchy chose self-deprecation instead… Harry Redknapp was gutted!
