Pep Guardiola arrived in Manchester with one thing in mind, winning games. Any sort of desire to win comes with a sacrifice and whether it’s physically trimming the fat by sending Samir Nasri to Sevilla or exiling Joe hart to play at a mid-table Italian side, Pep is willing to do whatever it takes.
Bans on ketchup, pizza, and fun have created a new environment at the Empithad and have led to Sergio Agüero lashing out on the pitch in a violent manner.
Don’t fuck with the man’s pizza, Pep.
The other big news in the Citizens’ camp is the omission of the 50-year-old midfielder, Yaya Toure, from Manchester City’s Champions League squad.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise to many as the Ivory Coast international has had a sharp drop-off in form as he has aged; he’s no fine wine.
Toure had his best season in 2013/2014 when he scored 20 goals and had 9 assists in 35 premier league games. Since then, he’s been disappointing with only 16 league goals in his last two seasons combined.
With the arrival of Pep, any half wit could have told you the departure of Yaya Toure was imminent based on past experience with the two at Barcelona.
The standoff between the two ended in a Joe Hart-like situation, resulting in the transfer of Toure to Man $hitty. Now, the Barcelona man has followed the Ivorian to England and caused the same damn problem.
As the saying goes, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, my name is Yaya Toure.
In the twilight of his career, maybe the Premier League just isn’t for him anymore and he should seek his ridiculously unnecessary and unearned pay elsewhere.
£220,000 a week salary for limited contributions is absurd, but so was purchasing Raheem Sterling for £49 million. So, keeping the Ivorian on the books wouldn’t be the stupidest thing Man $hitty has ever done.
I don’t care if I just wrote about the Raheem Rennaissance, he’s still not worth that much.
Toure needs to cut his losses, accept that he can’t please Pep and move to China where they’ll pay him more money in a league where he might actually be able to contribute.
