You can not keep football renegade, Mario Balotelli, out the papers. The ex-Liverpool man bagged a brace on the weekend to lead Nice to a 3-2 victory over Marseille, and also delivered a very Balotelli-esque Man of the Match interview.

After that penalty, we were really hoping to a see a ‘Why Always Me?’ vest, with his celebration mimicking that notorious moment at Old Trafford five years ago.
The centre-forward wasn’t done there, though, with the no. 9 giving a few very ‘Balotelli-esque quips post-match whilst accepting his Man of the Match award. The bloke actually looks like he’s in one of those happy-ending parlours ?.

Mario even found time before the game to be very critical of his old Merseyside club in an interview with Canal Plus:
“Apart from the fans, who were fantastic, and some players who I got on really well with, I didn’t like the club… [it was the] worst decision of my life”.

Oh, grow up Balotelli, the club threw you a lifeline – and you totally buggered it up. Brendan Rodgers took a gamble on you, and you failed miserably to repay him with any decent form at all.Well done, pal, for bagging a brace in Ligue 1.
Check out the six Premier League players we believe are overrated!
Mario went further than this though – by going full on ‘Bibotelli’ – as the Italian continued to give off the deluded impression that he’s capable of being the best player in the world.
“I think I could have already won it by now [the Balon d’Or], but by working hard in training I could still win it in the next two or three years.”
Mario Balotelli
I tell you what mate, take some lessons from Paul Pogba’s performance in the Manchester Derby – no, honestly, he did play – and perhaps the pair of you could dominate the award over the next couple of years.
Until then, stick to the massage parlours…
