Another Dembele Has Surfaced in a Celtic Jersey

I am not sure what it is with the last name Dembele, but it seems to translate to class on the pitch. Well, minus that one Dembele in a Tottenham shirt because Spurs are shite.

Merely a week after 20-year-old Moussa Dembele had his way with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Champions League, another Dembele has introduced himself to the world of football in a big way.

Enter 13-year-old Karamoko Dembele.

The boy probably hasn’t even started puberty yet, but last night he made an appearance for Celtic’s U-20 side against Hearts. Granted, nothing incredible was done in his brief time on the pitch, but the fact that the teenager got on the pitch is impressive in itself.

Like most people, I had not the slightest idea who the fuck this little dude was until yesterday, but he’s been tearing it up for Celtic youth teams and it’s quite evident why the club rates him so highly.

The boy probably still believes cooties, Santa, and the tooth fairy, but that hasn’t stopped him from balling out on the pitch. His skill speaks for itself and makes his young opponents look like a cones in a training exercise.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves though, he’s 13 years old.

Here are 5 footballers who never reached their potential:

Is he talented and skilled? Undoubtedly.

But he’s still only 13, there’s a long way to go until he’s in the first team and myriad of things could go wrong before then.

Prime Example: Theo Walcott

On a more positive note, Celtic could have a gem on their hands – that they will be forced to sell like Moussa Dembele in the next summer transfer window.

Celtic beware. Now that news has been reported, Arsene Wenger will be showing up at training any day now.
