Mario Balotelli threatening return to Italian national side

Mario Balotelli was young, talented, and really fucking stupid. He managed to go from having the world at his feet at Euro 2012 to leaving Liverpool on a free transfer in 2016. What a fall from grace.

Since his move away from Anfield to the South of France, Mario Balotelli has started to regain the form that made him one of the most feared young strikers in all of Europe. Through five games in Ligue 1, Balotelli has scored six goals.

Ligue 1 isn’t a top-four league in Europe, but Balo is scoring again and that could translate to good things for the Italian striker.

The Italian national team is struggling for quality up top with Graziano Pelle moving to China (and pissing off manager Giampiero Ventura), Ciro Immobile not being in-form for a few years, and Simone Zaza busy doing the running man challenge.

Rumor has it that Zaza is actually still running.

Balo deserves a fifteenth  second chance.

Super Mario has demonstrated his ability time and time again and has a great goal scoring record for the Azzurri with 13 goals in 33 matches.

Greatest Balotelli moments:

Current manager, Giampiero Ventura is interested in bringing Balotelli back into the national team.

It seems like everybody’s talking about Balotelli at the moment. He’s a fantastic player who has been suppressed by a way of being that has not put him in the conditions to express himself to his best.

There are no preclusions for anybody, but in these years there has been a dip in his level and there is a gap that he needs to bridge with his behaviour and tactical attitude so that he puts the team first, because the team comes before the individual and it is not the team that has to be at Balotelli’s beck and call.

Giampiero Ventura

Ventura has called for a mature Balo to return to the national team to help out his country.

For the first time in a long time, Balotelli has stayed out of the headlines for poor decision making and has let his play do the talking, despite being in close proximity to the prime partying area of Monaco. Maybe we’re seeing the birth of a new Mario Balotelli.
