The ultimate Wenger and Mourinho combined XI

Adam Brown

Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger are two managers who have managed some of the world’s best, but what sort of starting XI could they put together if they could recall any of their previous players?

Should they ever decide to put the rivalry aside and bring this team together, they may actually better their success in the Premier League! It would be hard for Wenger to be a ‘specialist in failure’ with this team.

This team would walk the Premier League. The usual park-the-bus teams, which get results against the big sides, would not have a chance – there’s simply too many ways for this team to score – a combined Allardyce, Pulis and Dyche XI couldn’t keep the bus parked against this side.

Currently, though, Mourinho is having some trouble with managing big name players, they almost can’t be bothered to play for him – his image and attitude to the media is much different to the Mourinho we saw when he arrived and took advantage of Roman’s oil money. With that in mind, it’s best to be safe and let Wenger manage the side!
