It was meant to be trophies, unbeaten seasons and singing unicorns for Manchester United under Jose Mourinho. However, it didn’t take a genius to work out that wasn’t going to be – and never will be – the case, given the fact the (not so) Special One is permanently damaged goods.
Manchester United fans wouldn’t be told, though. Ed Woodward wouldn’t be told. All those associated with the Red Devils wouldn’t be told.
And now look at the mess they’ve got themselves in.

It’s okay, though; it’s not Jose’s fault. It’s not Paul Pogba’s fault for continually slowing down of the play. It’s not Anthony ‘one Premier League goal this season’ Martial’s fault. It’s not the fault of any player or member of staff at Old Trafford.
Nope, it’s of course, in true ‘woe is me’ fan mentality, the fault of the man in the middle.

Someone with way too much time on their hands, and a huge chip on their shoulder, has gone through all the decisions so far this campaign, that (they feel) have gone wrongly against Manchester United.
You’d be forgiven for thinking you’d be about to watch every single goal United have conceded this season, such are the delusions that have set in at Old Trafford since Sir Alex Ferguson jumped the sinking ship.
