The MLS season comes down to a single game as the Seattle Sounders take on Toronto FC in what is sure to be an overhyped and consequently underwhelming game. Despite my high expectations for the match, some class players will be taking part.
Seattle has been the surprise of the season following a start that could of been conducted by Alan Pardew himself. But with the appearance of the Messiah in Nicolas Lodiero and the maturation of Jordan Morris, they are threatening to for the title.
Here is the best combined XI for the MLS Cup final:
Stefan Frei -Goalkeeper
Hasn't had much to do in net in the playoffs thus far, but is unpredictable. Who knows when he'll have a 'Dicks for Hands' moment. Source: Twitter
Chad Marshall – DF
The Vet has been a rock for Seattle despite their defensive shortcomings to start the year. A strong leader and defender. Source: Twitter
Justin Morrow – DF
Has matured into a decent outside back since his days in San Jose. No longer a liability on the pitch. Source: Twitter
Roman Torres – DF
He's a monster of a man with some cliche ink. He's been huge for Seattle in this playoff run. Source: Twitter
Drew Moor – DF
Has helped a Toronto FC team be somewhat decent defensively. Big presence and good pickup for Toronto. Source: Twitter
Ozzie Alonso – CDM
Always consistent and on the verge of getting sent off. Walks the line with quality and reckless tackles. Source: Twitter
Michael Bradley – CM
Not another option in the midfield or he wouldn't make the list. He has his moments of brilliance, but also a fair share of mental lapses. Source: Twitter
Nicolas Lodiero – CAM
The man has been a God for Seattle this season. Without his ability on the ball, Jordan Morris isn't half as dangerous. Source: Twitter
Sebastian Giovinco – FW
The man is too good for the MLS. Constantly displays his abilities and the fact that he's a tier above the rest of the team. Has carried this team time and time again. Source: Twitter
Jordan Morris -FW
The kid has had his scoring boots on this season. Morris has played through sickness and injury this postseason. Props to him. Source: Twitter
Jozy Altidore – FW
He's been productive recently or wouldn't get anywhere near this list. Altidore has been dangerous against defenses that have more holes than swiss cheese. Source: Twitter

Toronto on the other hand made the final due to some suspect defending and a blown 3-0 lead by the Montreal Impact in the first leg. But with Sebastian Giovinco in the side evidently anything is possible.
We shouldn’t expect too much from the match as this will probably go to penalties where Jozy Altidore will score the winner and be praised as an American (and Canadian) hero. What the fuck are we in for?
