The transfer value of every single Liverpool player has been decided

Transfer values can soon plummet once a club (and the rest of the league) realise that a player who moved for an extortionate fee is not performing as well as he did in his YouTube compilation. Liverpool have had their fair share of poor value transfers, but not all of Jurgen Klopp’s men have been unable to increase their worth.

We have considered all factors here from performances to age. The two most obvious players who have seen an increase in their value are Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane – but how much are all of the main 18 players currently worth?

Noticeably, FSG’s transfer method of signing young players has led to Liverpool having a valuable squad. When you make a strong signing, such as a Sadio Mane, the owners have the option to sell on this player for a substantial fee. This is what we saw with the sales of Luis Suarez and Raheem Sterling.

The fans, however, do not care about being top of the net spend profit table. It’s good to make a profit, but Liverpool supporters would much rather see further investment into the squad. Look at the bench in the recent fixture against Burnley – not one experienced attacking option. The Reds did win that game, but they can’t expect to remain unpunished in future. In close games, you need much better options off the bench – dips in form and injuries have to be expected to your starting XI. Should Jurgen Klopp’s side not make the top four, questions will certainly be asked in regards to the lack of investment in January.
