The Premier League, while the most exciting league in the world, can no longer claim to be at the very pinnacle of the footballing world.
Manchester United and Liverpool both continue to languish in mediocrity, while Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham were a shambles in the Champions League. Only Chelsea can claim to be close to the best teams in the world, and they aren’t even in Europe’s premier competition this season.
It seems then, that while the league is superbly exciting, there are far better teams out there. This is no truer than in the case of Real Madrid and Barcelona. Spain’s biggest teams are once again battling for the La Liga title, while both sides are in with a chance of reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League, although Barcelona must count on another European miracle.
While both teams have a glut of talented players, there is no doubt that some Premier League players will be the targets of the big two, with some massive names potentially moving abroad:

It is unfortunate for English football that so many of the best players in the Premier League will be sorely tempted by any offer from Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and
Luis Suarez have all been poached recently, and all have shone in Spain.
The likes of Hazard, de Gea, Kane and Coutinho have all been linked in recent months with a move to either of Spain’s big two, while the rest are so talented that, if they continue on their current path, they will surely draw attention from either side.
For the Premier League clubs in question, they will be hugely disappointed to lose their stars, but they will command massive fees from Madrid and Barcelona, which they can invest intelligently, well, unless you’re Daniel Levy that is.
