Arsenal agree £3million deal with Fenerbahçe for Ospina

As Arsenal try to kid the world of football they’re in the running for the signature of Monaco’s, Kylian Mbappe, they fail to realise that all those outside of the Gunners boardroom can see right through them.

With Arsene Wenger’s new contract signed and confirmed, the club tried to project this as a new era for Arsenal, one where they will be back winning the Premier League title. However, despite the noises coming out of the Emirates Stadium’s ivory towers, the proof that Arsenal will be set for another two years of discontent, just like the previous 10, has arrived.

The sale of David Ospina is expected to be ratified next week, with the Colombian goalkeeper due in Turkey for a medical with Fenerbahçe,

“I am happy, but I want to have more continuity.

We will have conversations (about my future) to make those decisions, it would be difficult to repeat a season like this.”

The fee that the Arsenal No.2 is going for? Just £3million. That fee doesn’t even exist in the modern day transfer market.

Colombia’s No.1, Arsenal’s Champions League goalkeeper and the Gunners’ FA Cup-winning shot-stopper is only worth £3million? Right.

Chelsea have just sold Asmir Begovic to Bournemouth for £15million, and that’s a ‘keeper who doesn’t even play for them; barely any high profile games during his whole time at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal’s inability in the transfer market, at both ends, will see them empty-handed and disappointed come the end of the summer transfer window.

Probably still win the FA Cup, though.
