Manchester City fans look set for a summer of nothing but positive news, especially considering the fact they’ve just received £10million from Huddersfield Town for the signing of Aaron Mooy, a player that not even Pep Guardiola knew was at the club.
With Kyle Walker and Alexis Sanchez linked, Bernando Silva and Ederson already through the Etihad doors, it’s exciting times for the light blue half of Manchester.
The Pep Guardiola revolution – which was meant to start last season, but we will ignore that – will be led by Brazilian Gabriel Jesus. And fears of the striker’s recent clash with teammate Nicolas Otamendi, during a Brazil versus Argentina friendly, causing him to miss the start of the new season, have been removed:
“Yesterday I did a facial resonance, several exams and I have good news! My recovery is going very well and I won’t need surgery.
“In 15 days I will be reassessed but all signs show that I will be back within three weeks!
“Thanks a lot to everyone that sent me messages, who supported me, sent positive vibes and prayed for me.
“Thank you to Dr Jorge Pagura, Dr Claudio Lotemberg and Dr Sergio Miranda, for the treatment and attention.”

With the attacking options Pep Guardiola has for the new season, resembling something of the enjoyable 4-2-4 all-out-attack formation on FIFA 17, the very fact Gabriel Jesus’ position is deemed the only ‘untouchable’ one, speaks volumes of his talents.
For once, like Kylian Mbappe, it looks like the hype is justified and will come to fruition; just ask a benched Sergio Aguero.
