- Rory McIlroy shot a respectable 68 in his opening round of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
- He played an incredible recovery to birdie the par 5 18th.
Rory carried his drive 315 when it viciously kicked right into the hazard. No problem for the best ball striker in the world as he stepped up and knocked it to 12 feet. walking off with a birdie never felt so good.
