Who knew tough guy Mark Wahlberg had a bit of a Machiavellian streak to his makeup? We see it come into play on this week’s episode of Wahlburgers when he decides to turn the tables on an unsuspecting Bubba Watson, his ever-present partner on the golf course. This time, the pair are pitting off against each other and as good as Marky Mark is, he needs an edge over the likes of Bubba Watson. So he resorts to some rather dirty tactics, namely tricking Bubba Watson into letting his friend “Big A” play the last hole. And well, the results have to be seen to be believed. Ever seen a par 14 hole? Now you have.
Bubba and Mark have become quite the celebrity dream team in golf of late. The two paired up at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am and slew it with an outstanding trick shot in front of hundreds of approving bystanders.

But apparently, Bubba hadn’t even wanted to go in the first place. During a phone call, Mark agreed to show up wearing merchandise from Oakley, Wastson’s sponsor, if he agreed to turn up as his partner. Clearly, there’s no lack of ease between the two if they’re at the point where they are dictating one another’s dress codes and handicapping one another’s… handicaps.
Their friendship is indicative of an interesting shift in golf trends of late. With all the household names beginning to infiltrate the game on all sides, it’s making a transition from becoming a niche sport to an activity even adrenaline hounds like Mark Wahlberg and Lewis Hamilton are proudly wearing on their sleeve.
