The Spaniard is considered one of the best ball strikers in the world. Unfortunately his putting has always let him down, not to mention that temperament which can desert him at crucial moments. The world number 15 has recorded twenty top 10 finishes in major championships, a statistic that has to be mentally draining for the 36-year-old.
With 28 professional wins under his belt, Sergio is often viewed as that temperamental talent with a penchant for tantrums. In reality he is actually a well liked player – especially amongst Europeans. He has a history of unconventional putting styles, as this 6-foot wedge will attest.
It would be nice to see players like Henrik Stenson and Sergio Garcia do well at Augusta, it has been 12 years since a European player has put on the green jacket. Come on Serg, one more rep!
