
The prestige of a green jacket should be enough to satisfy any man, but then again that does come with $1.8 million. Asked what he had spent some of the money on, the world No.9 said: “A Ferrari. White. California T. It was one of them – I’ve wanted one for a long, long time and I said: ‘You know what, if I can’t buy one now then I’m never going to’.”

He certainly spent some of his winnings like a champion, how about his preparation?
“I am a little rusty,” Willett said. “I will try and get some work done this week … and hopefully come Thursday, we’ll have shook off a little bit of that rust.”
The Englishman admitted that last Friday was the first time he’d swung a club in over four weeks. He played 18 holes with his friends at home on Saturday and he played nine holes Monday when he showed up at the TPC Sawgrass.
This all sounds very similar to Jordan Spieth, who pent the last few weeks relaxing away from the course. I doubt it’s the same for these guys, but ask any amateur and they’ll tell you the best golf is played after a long absence from the game. Jordan and Danny for the win?
