Yesterday we posted some incredible footage from the first practice round at Oakmont. Many are calling this the toughest U.S. Open venue in golf’s history and it’s difficult to argue with this assessment. Last time this tournament was played at Oakmont Angel Cabrera overcame Tiger Woods to win with +5. Many think this year will produce something similar.
Our top five picks for this year’s U.S. Open have focused on a player’s ability to score from under 40 yards. It’s clear that successful players will need scramble from thick rough and hole putts from under six feet. Distance off the tee won’t be a premium at Oakmont, accuracy will.
The greens have some serious break…56 inches over ten feet is staggering!
Looked low the whole way… 56 inches of break wasn’t quite enough from 10 feet… Oakmont is for real pic.twitter.com/ktWvaYOY8V

Oh and did I mention the rough around the greens?

Keegan Bradley and Rickie Fowler were playing a game of find the ball. It’s like the sickest, most pervere version of where’s Waldo you’ve ever seen.
Nothing sums up the shit show better than this and we love it!
