Jimmy Walker was a hero long before he became a major champion.
Last year at the AT&T Byron Nelson he finished T-2, but it wasn’t his amazing performance that blew fans away. It was what happened at the Pro-Am on Wednesday that gave him his new status.
Two fans that caddied with Walker both wrote him letters after the fact that are both hilarious and adorable. Walker’s wife tweeted them out for the world to see.
To Mr @JimmyWalkerPGA from a few @attbyronnelson fans. Must read. Hysterical. And awesome. ??❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/unWrphMDRq

Here’s a closer look at the letters themselves. Read them all the way through because they both confirm Walker’s heroism.
“I’ll always remember you because you saved me from a hurling ball that was going to my face.”
If you don’t believe this kid, the other one was a bystander that saw the whole thing go down!
“You saved my best friend from getting hit in the eye. You pushed him out of the way.”
Although there is no footage of this epic moment, I think we should put our faith in these two fans and believe that this happened.
If those boys were watching this weekend, they must be pretty stoked that their hero just won a major!
