Tiger Woods told Davis Love III who he wants on the Ryder Cup Team

According to a SkySports interview, Tiger Woods already knows who he wants as his picks on the Ryder Cup Team this year. In the interview, Davis Love III said that he received a text from Woods listing off the names he thought should be on the team.

“He’s already picked his four,” Love said in the interview.

“I can’t tell you who they are, but he knows who he wants to watch and who he wants to manage and who he’ll get along with.”

Kind of a bummer that Love can’t reveal who Woods would choose, but that doesn’t mean we can’t guess!

After the Barclays, the top eight players on the U.S. points list will automatically qualify for the team, and Love will have four captains picks with Tiger in his ear.

This is how the team stands now based on points:

1. Dustin Johnson
2. Jordan Spieth
3. Phil Mickelson
4. Jimmy Walker
5. Brooks Koepka
6. Zach Johnson
7. J.B. Holmes
8. Brandt Snedeker

This leaves Bubba Watson, Jim Furyk, Rickie Fowler, Patrick Reed and Matt Kuchar up for grabs.

If we’re going on who Tiger would get along with, you have to put Furyk in there as a choice. Even though Furyk is also a vice captain, if Tiger were playing, he’d want the same done for him. Not to mention he has a ton of experience on the Ryder Cup field.

I think Tiger also respects the guys that are going to the Olympics, making them top contenders for picks. Bubba is right below the cut line so I think he’ll make it no matter what. Reed, Fowler and Kuchar need that little extra push to get them in there.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Who would your four picks be?
