The owner of the “worst swing on Tour” slotted home 10 birdies and an eagle to shoot a 12-under-par round. Jim clearly has low scoring in his DNA, partly due to his precise iron play and distance control. He was already a member of the exclusive club of players to shoot 59 on the PGA Tour, and now he finds himself with the outright record. His career is proof that you don’t need a pretty swing to get the job done.
Jim Furyk can now tell people he once shot 59 on the PGA Tour — and it wasn’t even his best career round.

Despite this phenomenal round, Jim finds himself four behind leader Daniel Berger, who is yet to start his round.
