How Bubba Watson turned into a decent human being

Who is really to say what makes a decent human being?

It’s definitely not me, but there are some tell tale signs that anyone can see, especially when you’re in the limelight of golf media.

Bubba Watson has been called many things, but this year it seems as though charitable is a common adjective to describe this guy. In June, when the flooding in Louisiana happened, it was Bubba Watson who responded with relief efforts. True, Watson has ties to West Virginia, but that doesn’t diminish his charity.

The Watson family live four months out of the year at the Greenbriar Resort. The flooding caused severe damage to the club and Watson donated $100,000 to the flood relief efforts in response.

Now the big-hitting lefty is partnering up with Ping to raise money for his foundation.

Ping announced that it will be selling the famous pink Ping G drivers, like the one Bubba uses. They will be donating $60 per driver sold towards the Bubba Watson-Ping Motion Analysis Lab, which uses advanced assessment tools to evaluate and treat children and adolescents who have movement disorders or walking difficulties.

Proceeds have also gone to Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Fla., where Watson was born, and other charities in the Pensacola area.

Watson and Ping have raised over $1mil in donations since 2012.

We’ve been able to do a lot of great things together that truly help improve the lives of the less fortunate and those in need.

Bubba Watson

The drivers will be sold for $650. Not a bad price for a good cause and a dope driver!

It doesn’t matter if Bubba Watson is a dick or not, let’s just acknowledge his efforts to do something positive for the world.
