We all know Bryson DeChambeau is the Sheldon of the PGA Tour with his quirky technique and different equipment. But is this stuff really catching on?
Yesterday, Cobra Golf had Greg Norman try out Bryson DeChambeau’s unique single-length irons. To my surprise (and his), Greg said, “I can actually see myself hitting these. You can make me up a set.”
Now, I understand he can’t say “I absolutely hate them” or “These aren’t for me” on Cobra Golf’s Instagram. However, he may legitimately want a set of these.
I’d like to see other tour players try out these irons. What do you think Rickie Fowler or Lexi Thompson would think of them? Lexi may have a chance sooner than later, as she will be at the Franklin Templeton Shootout with Bryson in December!
I guarantee other tour players, especially those not sponsored by Cobra Golf, would not all agree with The Great White Shark. I cannot wait to try out these irons myself, but I think my interest in Bryson’s quirks will stop there.
Unless the Shark tries out the one-plane swing or side-saddle putting. Then I might jump on the Sheldon bandwagon too.
