The 26-year-old is playing in the WGC-HSBC Champions. Reed opened up with a first-round 78, and was 7-over par when he was playing the eighth hole at Sheshan Golf Club. Then this happened.

What’s really weird about this is how the exact same thing happened to DJ last year. It even happened on the same hole to make this coincidence even spookier…

Although, as Golf Digest pointed out, DJ’s bad luck cost him $500,000. Reed is 6th from bottom so probably best to take this on the chin and pray the Golf Gods administer luck when it’s actually needed.
