Pat Perez played a sizzling Sunday final round 67 to secure his first win on the PGA Tour since 2009. For Perez, who has been plagued by injury the past couple of years, the win comes with a two year exemption on tour and moves him to third in the FedexCup points.
Perez started the final round of the OHL Classic at Mayakoba a shot back of Gary Woodland, but after early struggles from Woodland and a hot start himself, Perez took the lead to the back nine and cruised home with a 4 under 67.
The win came in just his third start since returning from shoulder surgery. Ball striking was a huge part of Perez’s success during the week, ranking 19th in driving distance and 11th in greens in regulation. Along with recording only 4 bogeys for the entire tournament, it was a formula for victory. Let’s check out the sticks that Perez used to capture his 2nd tour win.
