Blue Jay’s third baseman, Josh Donaldson, learned the hard way that you never win at trash talk when you’re up against Michael Jordan.
The two played a last minute round together with Jason Dufner and as the story goes, Donaldson tried to come at His Airness with a zinger and Jordan wasn’t having any of it.
On one of the holes they were playing, Donaldson wasn’t sure that Jordan would make par, and with both of them left with a 20ft putt, the trash talk ensued.
Donaldson bet him that he wouldn’t make his putt and MJ replied that there was no one other than him you’d want to have the ball with the game on the line in the last seconds.
To which Donaldson replied, “I might say Reggie Miller.”
BURN MJ. But don’t worry, he came right back at him with, “and how many rings does Reggie Miller have.” ZAYUM.
We may never know if he made the putt, but does it really matter with a comeback like that? I don’t think so.
