In an interview with Shane O’Donoghue for CNN’s Living Golf, Tiger Woods spoke up about the political issues currently dividing Americans.
President Donald Trump has enforced a controversial immigration ban that has many Americans in an uproar. For someone who recently golfed with said President, Woods actually had some pretty inspirational words for his fellow countrymen.
“We are fellow Americans. And as Americans, we come together and we do what’s best for our country. And we need to unite and be Americans. And I know there is a lot of divisiveness as of right now, but time, patience and unity will win out.”
This seems like a pretty neutral stance on the issue, which is smart for two reasons. 1. He is currently in a middle eastern country for the Omega Dubai Desert Classic (although the UAE is not on the travel ban list). 2. Woods doesn’t need any drama surrounding his name over the concerns of political issues he can’t control.

He needs to be focusing on his swing and his game, after missing the cut at the Farmers Insurance last week. This will be his second consecutive start of the season.
