Less than a month into his unfathomable tenure as the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump is already headed to the links for the second time.
If you recall, Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited with the Donald at Trump Tower in November, handing him a $3,755 Honma Beres S-05 driver. And while there’s no word on whether El Trump plans to game the Beres, he will be teeing it up with Mr. Abe in Palm Beach this weekend.
And if you’re scoring at home (and care about such things), this will be the second weekend in a row that the President has high-tailed it to the Sunshine State. Ironic wouldn’t you say, for someone who bashed Obama for “playing more golf than Tiger Woods” during his presidency.
“We’re going to have a round of golf, which is a great thing,” Trump told Westwood One Sports Radio. “That’s the one thing about golf — you get to know somebody better on a golf course than you will over lunch.”
How true that last statement is from a gentleman widely regarded as a cheat on the fairways and greens!
Anyway, after arriving at the White House Friday, Abe and DT will head to Florida to tee it up, because, as we all know, Saturdays are for the boys.
“We’re going to have a lot of fun,” the President said.
Hope so. Maybe they’ll play a little beach volleyball?
