It’s not often that we’re presented with one significant news item from the world of golf shoes—unless you’re a full-blown golf sneakerhead. But today, we have two awesome items from the golf shoe-niverse.
First up, the auction for those profoundly sick Rickie Fowler hi-tops has ended. When we last checked in, the Shoe Surgeon-designed Arnold Palmer tribute kicks were at just north of $10K.
All proceeds for the sale will be donated to Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation. So, we’re more than happy to report the final bid came in at $25,300.
“The response to these shoes has truly been phenomenal, fueled by a love for Arnold Palmer and Rickie’s fondness and respect for The King.”
Grant Knudson, Global Head of Footwear & Accessories for PUMA Golf

And with the Masters right around the (Amen) corner, we’re starting to see some of the limited-edition gear that’ll hit the marketplace for the season’s first major. While the bags, grips, custom wedge stampings and apparel will have to wait, we have a fantastic item to share already.
Come on. It has to be said that Adidas is absolustely killing it with this Augusta National signature sandwich-inspired shoe. The Pimento Cheese Crossknit Boost, which will retail online exclusively for $180, is limited to 100 pairs.
Just check these nasty things out.
Adidas celebrates Augusta National Golf Club’s masterful, $1.50 cheese sandwich with a sockliner printed with a pimento cheese design. Its all-white upper is a homage to the sandwich’s white bread.
And the green on the heel and sole of the shoe, well, those are tributes to the Masters’ signature color. Also, cheers on this added touch of brilliance: The accompanying shoe bag imitates the (also iconic) sandwich-covering wrapper. FootJoy, Nike, Puma: Consider the gauntlet thrown down!
