Guy practicing his putting at the airport gets high praise from pro

Pros and fans alike are traveling abroad as the Scottish Open approaches this week and the Open Championship the week after. It’s a busy week for golf but that doesn’t mean there isn’t time for some practice.

At 7:00AM at the baggage claim turnstile to be exact. Emiliano Grillo and company spotted the mega fan at the airport in Scotland.

The guy is not only putting but he has his golf shoes on at the airport, ready to hit the links as soon as his luggage makes its way off the plane. This may seem like serious dedication, which it is, but if you’ve golfed in Scotland before, you know to always be ready.

I have heard stories where if you plan to play at St. Andrews Old Course (without a year in advance tee-time scheduled or entering the lottery), walk on tee-times get handed out at 6:30AM, with people waiting at the clubhouse anywhere from 2AM. Scotland is where golf was born, so it’s not surprising to see people preparing before they reach the course.

Grillo tweeted about the incident, comparing this golfer to the likes of Tiger Woods.

High praise from a professional. This guy should be proud of himself. He had the determination to practice before even stepping on the holy grounds of golf. Dedication to the game at its finest!
