In my eyes no golf swing in the entire world will be more pleasing to the eye than the one Tiger Woods had in the 2000’s while working with Butch Harmon.
His game revolved around consistent ball striking and pin-point accuracy. That philosophy produced a swing so smooth yet so simple that he could repeat it over and over.
But it’s always fun to analyze swings of people who don’t play golf for a living, especially those competing in the American Century celebrity golf Championship this past weekend.
Here’s our most memorable celebrity swings from those competing in the AC Championship:
Steph Curry, Golden State Warriors Point Guard
Curry is now the highest-paid player in the NBA, won multiple championships/MVPs, and has a near perfect golf swing. Just as smooth as his three point shot, the basketball court isn’t the only place where Curry nails threes from long distances.
Paige Spiranac, professional model/pro golfer
You probably know her better as @_paige.renee, from her modeling and golf videos on Instagram. The beautiful Spiranac has taken the golf world by storm with her jaw-dropping looks to match her nearly flawless swing.
Justin Timberlake, Actor/artist
Forget that suit and tie, get this man some golf spikes and a polo. JT has the three A’s in his life: actor, artist, and athlete. He displays his athleticism by sporting a smooth-looking swing which almost produced an ace at this year’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Tony Romo: Former NFL QB/ CBS Sports analyst
Former Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo showed off the golf game he has been working on since he announced his retirement from professional football in April of this year. Romo actually missed qualifying for this year’s U.S. Open by three shots, and he simply put that: “I just need to get out and do more of this kind of thing. I need to play in more tournaments because golf and tournament golf are two totally different deals.”
Charles Barkley: Former NBA player/Emmy-award winning NBA analyst
This list would not be complete with out Sir Charles. Barkley has struggled with his golf game over the course of his life especially when trying to get away from the nasty hitch in his swing (the one that has made his golf game famous for the wrong reasons). This week, however, Chuck showed the world that he has improved his game and that the hitch may be on it’s way out.
