Wayne Rooney scored the 200th Premier League goal of his career on Monday, becoming the second footballer to reach such a feat. Against Manchester City, nonetheless.
Rooney joins Alan Shearer in the footballing hall of fame, who scored 260 goals during his time in the Premier League.
Only 2 players have scored 200+ goals in Premier League history:

Rooney met Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s pass with his left foot and sent it through the legs of City goalkeeper Ederson to put Everton ahead in the 35th minute, though City struck back late to earn a 1-1 draw.
This was Rooney’s second goal in as many games on Everton after returning to his boyhood team from a 13 year run on Manchester United. The fact that this monumental goal occurredย against his true rival Manchester City, must have been a crowning moment for the baller.
‘It was nice to score at the Etihad with my history at Man Utd but to do it today was a sweet moment,’ he told Sky Sports.
‘I’m sure the red half of Manchester would’ve enjoyed that as well.’
You could see it in the way he celebrated, cupping his hands to his ears, egging on the City fans. A picture is worth a thousand words:

While City fans grovel, the red half of Manchester loved the celebration, as Rooney knew they would. He’s scored 11 goals against City but this was the first time he did so wearing an Everton Jersey.

Man City fans were booing Rooney. Man replied in a deafening manner. They must have heard that one all over Etihad

This just goes to show that it doesn’t matter what jersey Rooney is wearing, he’s a Man U man for life. That’s what you get for booing a footballer who bleeds red.
With almost 15 years of football on his back, the striker is showing that he still has fight left in him. Everton is definitely glad to have Rooney on their team once again.
