Disney is the most magical place on Earth, that is unless you go on the same day as a bunch of Major League Soccer players – or more precise, a group of Orlando City and Orlando Pride ballers.
An Orange County Sheriff’s Office incident report reveals that the face of women’s soccer, Alex Morgan, was escorted off the premises of Epcot – along with fellow Orlando players Giles Barnes and Donny Toia – due to an argument that broke out at one of the complex’s on-site restaurants (the group were clearly inebriated, too).
“As we passed Spaceship Earth, I observed several people being escorted to the front.
“They were all being very loud and belligerent toward staff around guests.
“I observed a white female, who was later identified as Alexandria Morgan yelling, screaming and taken [sic] video and possibly pictures. She appeared to be highly impaired.
“Deputy Johnson heard Ms. Morgan make a loud verbal statement that she knows the Orlando SWAT team.”
Epcot’s UK pub’s deputy’s comments in their police report
It remains unclear whether Orlando City – who also represent Orlando pride – will take further action against their players; clubs, especially stateside, are huge for their public relations and endearing themselves to their loyal following.
“The Orlando City SC organization is aware of a situation that occurred at Walt Disney World’s Epcot theme park earlier this week and is awaiting official communication from Disney or the Orange County Police Department.
“The club will address the matter internally when there is a full understanding of what occurred.”
Orlando City’s statement to The Sentinel
Orlando City midfielder Servando Carrasco – Morgan’s husband – Joe Bendik, Dillon Powers, Sebastian Hines and the recently returned, Dom Dwyer, were also part of the day trip to the world’s most magical place, however, it is believed those players weren’t involved in any of the shenanigans.
