Failing To Grow Up: Neymar Continues To Throw Barcelona Under The Bus

As if you couldn’t think Neymar could get any more childish and petulant, the Brazilian forward has officially ‘out-Neymared’ himself by reportedly demanding that Barcelona are kicked out of the Champions League.

The whole Neymar-Edinson Cavani penalty-gate incident gives you an indication into the kind of bloke he is; self-obsessed, little thought for others, and the player with a greed that will always ignore the old saying of: ‘there’s no I in team’.

Further to that, if we continue the character assassination of the PSG striker, just head to his Instagram account to understand his vanity and the sort of personalities he hangs out with; endlessly dressing more like he belongs on Broadway as the 25-year-old recycles captions such as – ‘let’s get lit’…

Not that Neymar needed Barcelona to put him on the map, he did that on his own by making himself the most marketable sportsperson out there, despite playing his football in South America. But, Barca gave him the platform to show his powers on the biggest footballing stage, learn from the best players, and create an acronym that perhaps will go down as the greatest trio to grace the game, MSN.

However, that doesn’t seem to matter to Neymar; three Copa del Reys, two La Ligas and one Champions League count for nothing as Neymar will show no hesitation in wishing to abolish his former club from the greatest club competition in football… as if the Catalan region isn’t going through enough at the moment.

Neymar is supposedly owed €26-million by Barca from contract loyalties, but on the other hand, Neymar also reportedly owes Barcelona money after his exit from the Nou Camp.

The bottom line is, Neymar fails to take off his blinkers which have become an obsession; he’d happily be regarded as the ‘greatest player’ in the world by omitting the greatest player in the world, and good friend, from Europe’s elite competition.

Do it with your footballing talent, Neymar, rather than through a childish petulance which isn’t going to win you any admirers within the beautiful game.
