You probably haven’t seen, or heard, enough of Conor McGregor in recent months. The shy and retiring fighter kept a relatively low-profile leading up to his billion dollar circus fight against Floyd Mayweather earlier this year. We barely even knew he existed he was so quiet…
But now that fight is over, McGregor is emerging from his publicity cocoon like a hungry butterfly. And the guy is ready to get into the ring and compete again. But where’s he heading to? Boxing? Nah, didn’t work out (apart from the untold riches). UFC? Well, he should really at some point seeing as he is a champion, but that can wait too. WWE? Now we’re talking. Get Vince on the phone.
Yes, McGregor is in reported talks with the WWE to make a one-off appearance at WrestleMania 34 next April. Now, this could mean that he’s actually competing in a fight. Or it might mean he just pops up in a promo as his MMA compatriot, Ronda Rousey, did at WrestleMania 31. Either way, it’ll be a hugely anticipated appearance and one WWE would no doubt be keen on. Vince McMahon has always had a love for pushing famous non-wrestlers onto the show of shows card. And McGregor would be a prize fish indeed for Vinny Mac.
All this talk has already got some wrestlers trash-talking in advance too:

We for one, would love to see “the monster among men” Braun Strowman have a crack at McGregor. Or perhaps even Brock Lesnar in a UFC style clash, although Lesnar has laughed off such speculation in the past. McGregor himself though has previously hinted about who he’d like to grapple with in the WWE, by calling out John Cena as a “big fat 40-year old”:
We await to see if McGregor will be hanging out with the so-called “dweebs” in New Orleans next year.
