Future X Furykaze

Furykaze

Future

Reebok has an impressive background when it comes to rapper collaborations, with Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar and 50 cent to name a few, it’s not a surprise that they have now teamed up with Future.

Future has been blowing up the hip hop game in recent years, in February 2017 he became the first artist to debut two albums at number one at the same time on Billboard 200 and Canadian albums chart, together with featuring on Taylor swift’s record breaking album, Reputation.

As well as taking the music industry by storm, he is also a leading style icon and Reebok welcomed him into the Classic’s family over a year ago. In November 2017 he released his first signature sneaker line the Furykaze.

The Furykaze

The line is inspired by Reebok’s InstaPump Fury (above) and the Kamikaze II (below) but also features a lot of personal touches made by Future.

The suede uppers on the Furykaze are there to resemble the hair on a scorpion, while the moulded vamps emanate the ripped body, stemming from Futures astrological sign, scorpio.

The shoes have a sandstone suede that adorns the uppers, and other personal details like the suede heel loop and the wordmark on the metal lace tips of the round tonal laces are more tints. They were originally released in sand, then less than a month later the black version dropped to delighted fans. Hopefully this year will bring more releases by Future, we’ll be waiting impatiently on the Reebok website…
