Disney Plus: How To Get It For $4 Per Month For 3 Years

On November 12 of this year, Disney will be launching their new premier streaming service, which will run the whole gamut of Disney-owned entertainment content. Eventually, Disney+ will offer eight original Marvel TV series, four new Star Wars shows, Disney’s entire library of original films, and much more. So yeah, that’s a lot of stuff for just $3.92 (USD) a month.

Disney’s new streaming service Disney+ launches later this November, and at the recent D23 convention, there were plenty of announcements regarding TV series and movies coming to the service. This included Marvel shows like Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and even a show starring Loki. The platform offers a lot more than that, including content from brands like Star Wars, Pixar, and more, and for a limited time you can subscribe at a fairly substantial discount.

Although many people are excited about the new streaming service, there, of course, is hesitation by the public that comes with yet another streaming cost, if chosen to opt in. The downside to Disney+ is you might be adding it to a long list of streaming subscriptions you already have, like Netflix, Hulu, or HBO Now. A limited-time pre-order offer might make that purchase easier: you can save big on a Disney+ subscription if you’re willing to pay upfront for three years. A one-year subscription generally costs $70 (USD), but the deal drops that price to $47 (USD) per year. That’s still a total of $140.97 total, but it’s a drastic savings compared to spending more than $200 over three years. And you’ll be paying the equivalent of only $3.92 per month (compared to the regular monthly price of $7 (USD).

This deal was first made available to paid D23 members over the announcement weekend, but is now available to any US residents with free general membership. To claim the offer, you’ll just simply need to sign up for Disney’s free D23 fan club. It may take up to 36 hours to receive your invite to claim the deal if you’re signing up for the first time. The exclusive offer will appear in your account information, and you should also receive an email.

Disney Plus is going to eschew pricing tiers, giving all subscribers four simultaneous streams and 4K Ultra HD in Dolby Vision, HDR10 and Dolby Atmos immersive audio. It’ll also allow you to create seven profiles, so personalisation can suit different members of the household. And even though Disney Plus is the company’s answer to Netflix, it won’t be releasing episodes of its original series all at once like its giant rival does. The best part? new episodes will come out on a weekly schedule.

Still, Disney’s biggest surprise about the new streaming service has been the price: Disney Plus alone will cost $7 a month in the US, half the price of HBO Now and a big discount compared with Netflix. And Because Disney Plus will have four simultaneous streams and perks like 4K and Dolby Atmos, its $7 subscription compares most closely with Netflix’s $16-a-month tier.

So is the Disney Plus streaming service worth paying for? The details that we know so far are below, but basically: If you love Star Wars or Marvel movies or you have kids, you may find yourself considering yet another subscription before the year’s out.

Secure all the Disney content you could ever need with the Disney+ streaming service — sign up for a D23 membership and gain special access to 33 percent off of the original annual price.
